River Oaks District is finally showing signs of completion of the long-awaited pre-pandemic reconstruction plans which includes the remodeling of central plaza, the addition of a new pocket park, updated signs, and new landscaping. With full completion expected for fall, new restaurants are also in the developmental process and set to open later this year.

CEO of the Festival Cos., Rosalind Schurgin, said existing spaces will be reconfigured to become more open and accessible with a goal of creating better places for gathering and socializing as part of the overall evolution of the District.

After opening in 2015, the district has been an attraction for local and international consumers to dine and shop luxury retailers like Harry Winston, Cartier, Hermes, Kiton, Dolce & Gabbana, & Nars to name a few. 3 restaurants are scheduled to open in the fall and early winter of this year including a new breakfast/brunch spot, Little Hen, an Italian restaurant, Bari, and Ojo De Agua, a Mexican restaurant.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management has elected Festival Cos. to manage the project. To minimize disruptions in the area, upgrades are being done in small increments with the main focus being to convert the already established parts of the district into a more outdoor friendly type of space while establishing entirely new outdoor spaces as well.
