Kingwood is a master-planned community in northeast Harris County, Texas, United States. It is located approximately 24 miles (39 km) northeast of downtown Houston, within the Houston metropolitan area. In 2009 CNNMoney ranked Kingwood between No. 27 and No. 34 on their list of "America's Best Places To Live"
