The long awaited reopening of Big River Waterpark in New Caney, Texas happened two weekends ago on April 30th after being delayed from its original opening date in March. This is the first season with the newly added amusement park according to Culture Map.

The term amusement park doesn't give justice when referring to the new haven of fun. This place comes equipped with one of the biggest lazy rivers in Texas, a wave pool, zip lining, a petting zoo, wall climbing, a floating obstacle course on the lake, axe throwing, an alligator interaction experience, a vulture dive off a 80ft wall, a giant maze, archery, and much more.

General admission fees are $39.99 online and $44.99 at the gate while those interested in securing a seasonal pass can expect to pay 79.99.

Hours of operation are 11am-7pm daily but the park will host 1 "Park After Dark" event weekly where the park stays open until 11pm.

Monty Galland, CEO of Big Rivers, stated, "We've worked hard this offseason to provide guests with more unique experiences while maintaining affordable pricing. We've added over half a dozen amusement park rides in our Fairgournds section of Big Rivers".
